Keeps the members of your council interested and participating in your council activities.
A Retention Chairman must be reported to the Supreme Council in order to suspend members for non-payment of dues. A properly functioning Retention Committee:
- Is comprised of the Retention Chairman (usually the deputy grand knight), council trustees and any other members appointed by the grand knight
- Recognizes each member’s accomplishments
- Ensures new members are introduced to the council membership and made to feel welcome
- Communicates with members to remind them of meetings and activities
- Works with the Program Director to encourage the members to participate in council activities
